Rap Star Drake: Cars Pushing Luxury & Performance ‘To The Max’

Posted by Madison McLellan

Drake, full name Aubrey Drake Graham, has come a long way since his days as Jimmy Brooks in the high school drama Degrassi: The Next Generation, that started his path to stardom. As of 2017, Drake, a.k.a. Drizzy, has been estimated to be worth $90 million, the fifth richest hip hop artist in the world on Forbes annual list this year. So with that type of cash flow, it’s no surprise that Drake has his fair share of amazing and expensive cars.

Oh the Views from ‘The 6ix’, Drake!

While I don’t condone ‘Draking and Driving’ (yes, this is real thing), I definitely support Drake driving these expensive luxury and performance cars. Much like Jay Z’s, Drake’s car collection is worth piles of cash.

What Cars Does Drake Own?

Mercedes-Maybach Pullman Because Let’s Face it, YOLO!

Let’s kick off this list with this super luxurious car. Drake’s Mercedes-Maybach S 600 Pullman isn’t your average sedan, but the ultimate Drake cars. Valued at just under $600k and that’s just the base price, but we all know that there is no way Drake opted for the bare minimum. He is after all the one who invented the term YOLO, right?

I mean, just look at it. There is nothing average about this 21-foot-long limo-like luxury sedan. There’s nothing to be ashamed of underneath the hood either, with a 6.0 liter V12 engine capable of boasting 523 horsepower. Not to mention its respectable estimated top speed of 155mph.

Drake’s Bentley Continental and Bentley Mulsanne: Luxury ‘To The Max’

When you’re Drake, there’s no shame in owning not just one, but two very stunning, very expensive, and very luxurious Bentleys, because you got some cash to burn.

Drake’s Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible, all dressed in elegant white, looks amazing next to Drake (or is it the other way around?). His Bentley Continental isn’t just a beauty on the outside; underneath the hood you’ll find a 6.0 liter W12 engine that cranks out 567 horsepower, letting Drake go from 0-60 mph in a solid 4.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 195 mph no problem.

We all know that with the emblematic “B’ comes a level of luxury fit for the lifestyle of a rap star like Drizzy. And for that reason, the Bentley Mulsanne is right up Drake’s alley. With features like an adjustable lumbar support to suit Drake’s desired setting, advanced navigational system, heated leather seats and mirrors, rain sensing wipers, and so much more; there’s a serious level of luxury in this Bentley.

Both of these Bentley’s are worth about $300k a pop (the Continental being just below $300k and the Mulsanne just upwards of $300k).

The Drake Lamborghini Aventador Literally Goes ‘0-100’ In a Good Way

There’s no stopping Drake from spitting his rhymes, just like there’s no stopping him in this supercar customized just for him by Driving Emotions Toronto. The Drake Lamborghini is decked out with some sweet features because, as Tony Bet (the one who customized Drizzy’s Lambo) said, “stock is boring" having added HRE Wheels to complement its already sexy matte gray and yellow colors.

The Aventador specs alone are enough to impress anyone, really. This supercar spits out 740 horsepower and hits a roaring top speed of 217 mph (that’s lip flapping speed, everyone). But if that doesn’t get your heart racing, Drake’s Lambo goes from 0-60 mph, or rather 0-100 km/h, in only 2.7 seconds. Are you blown away yet? Well, how about its $493k starting price tag?

Nice choice, @champagnpap. Just how is the Views from the 6ix while driving around in your Lambo?

As usual, Drizzy loves to post his new rides on Instagram. Check out the caption!

Drake’s Rolls Royce Dawn ‘Woes’ Much Like Drake

I’ve written about this Rolls-Royce before and it is no surprise to me that Drake owns one of the most expensive custom Rolls-Royces in the world. This Rolls-Royce ‘Dawn’ has a counterpart, ‘Dusk’ and the pair of them, while designed together, can be bought individually at $300k for the base model. But when buying a Rolls-Royce, who goes for the base model — especially when you’re Drizzy. As Rolls-Royce reports, majority of the orders for the custom Dawn Rolls-Royce are right around the $400k mark. No big deal.

‘Started From the Bottom’ All The Way to the McLaren 675 LT

Another great addition to the Drake car list is the McLaren 675 LT. This McLaren is not only extremely expensive, but also extremely rare with only 500 units being produced each one priced at $350k. Another supercar with amazing performance, the 675 Longtail is a menace on the road, producing 666 horsepower and gunning it from 0-60 mph in only 2.9 seconds. Drake’s McLaren stands out not only for its beastly performance, for its fierce black wheels and eerie yellow brake calipers.

While the 675LT is based on the 650S, the 675LT has lots of weight, 220 pounds, to be exact. Its weight loss is due to a carbon–fibre diet. Seat shells were replaced with carbon-fiber ones and additional carbon-fiber body panels were used. Other helpful weight reduction elements are a plastic rear window and a redesigned exhaust system.

The Previously Owned by Drake Bugatti

Drake has also been spotted in a Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir in Yorkville, Toronto, Canada. His impressive taste in cars still bewilders me; this is a true rarity.

The Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir went up for sale back in 2014 (owned by, Lamborghini Vancouver at the time). Because of its small production run, with only 12 units being made, when it went up for sale, the asking price was $3.4 million, which is about $2.57USD today.

Equipped with a W16 engine and quad turbocharged aspiration the jet black Sang Noir is a beast producing oh you know, just 1001 horsepower. There’s some serious power under the hood of this supercar, as it blazes from 0-60 mphr in just 2.6 seconds and hits 252.9 mph. Not sure why Drake sold this limited edition Bugatti to be honest.

Now that’s a solid collection of cars, don’t you think? Drizzy really knows what’s what and his choice of cars shows that he appreciates luxury and performance. Can’t wait to see what he adds to his garage next!
