Here is out list of expensive cars that these professional tennis players purchase thanks to their hefty salaries, lucrative endorsement deals, and tournament winnings. In some cases these famous tennis players even get to drive around these fantastic cars for free!

Roger Federer’s Mercedes AMG SLS Roadster

Roger Federer is one of the biggest names in tennis and considered the best in the world by many. He has been the champion of Wimbledon seven times and holds a total of 88 singles career titles. Although Federer is not competing in the US Open due to a knee injury, he will be returning to claim his glory in 2017 at the Australian Open.

Being one of the best tennis players in the world comes with many perks; since 2007, Mercedes has been a proud sponsor of Roger, on top of being paid millions of dollars each year by the luxury car company, Federer gets to drive the latest models before they reach mass market. One of Roger Federer’s favorite cars is the Mercedes AMG SLS Roadster.

The AMG SLS’ port fuel injected V-8 engine has a total of 622 horsepower, taking the vehicle from 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds and boasts a top speed of 196 mph.

Novak Djokovic’s Audi R8

Novak Djokovic is currently ranked as the number one tennis player in the world. He has an estimated net worth of $56 million, $21.8 million coming from his salary and winnings, while the remaining $34 million comes from endorsements.

This tennis pro has been seen driving many luxury vehicles. Novak Djokovic’s cars of choice include those made by BMW, Mercedes, and Audi. Novak has a sponsorship deal with Mercedes. He also filmed a commercial with Audi in which he attempts to serve the ball faster than an Audi R8. For those of you wondering, Novak’s serve dominated the speed of the R8.

Venus and Serena Williams and their Expensive Cars

Venus and Serena Williams are some of the most prominent names in tennis. The sisters have won dozens of trophies and competitions together, including, the US Open, the Australian Open, the French Open and the prestigious Wimbledon Tournament.

Being some of the best tennis players in the world, a rivalry between the sisters has naturally brewed. The Williams sisters have faced off a total of 27 times, most recently in the Quarterfinals of the 2015 US Open, where Serena won. Their head-to-head record is 16-11 in Serena’s favor.

Serena Williams’ cars include a Bentley Continental GT, while Venus, on the other hand, drives a Mercedes GLS. The GLS is the epitome of class and luxury, equipped with a V-6 engine that produces 362 horsepower and an interior that comes with black poplar wood trim and leather upholstery.

Let the sister rivalry continue! Who do you think has the better car?

Maria Sharapova’s Porsche Panamera

Maria Sharapova is one of the most famous professional tennis players out there. She has won the Australian Open, the US Open, Wimbledon and the French Open twice. Sharapova is also the highest paid female athlete in the world. However, most recently Sharapova was banned from playing professional tennis for two years as a result of taking a prohibited substance known as meldonium, for the last 10 years.

In 2013, Sharapova signed a three-year partnership deal with Porsche. As a result, she had the opportunity to drive several of the newest Porsche models. Her go-to Porsche is the Panamera. The Panamera comes equipped with a V-8 engine that is capable of producing 570 horsepower taking the Porsche from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds. Unfortunately, after the doping scandal, Porsche, as well as other sponsors, ceased their deals with Sharapova as a result of negative publicity.

Andy Murray’s BMW i8

In 2013, Andy Murray became the first British native to win Wimbledon in 77 years; he soon became the center of attention in the tennis world and claimed victory again at the 2016 Wimbledon Tournament.

Murray didn’t get his license until he was 21 and soon after he proceeded to purchase a Ferrari 430; however, Murray admittedly hated the attention he received when driving the bright red Ferrari. He decided to replace his Ferrari with an Aston Martin DB9, and then had some fun in a Jaguar XKR, thanks to his sponsorship contract. In 2015, after winning the Munich Open he was given a BMW i8, however, Murray still prefers to drive his modest VW Polo.
